10-25-06: MMS begins replacing the 78 Dell batteries.

10-23-06: Bulk shipment of batteries arrive from Dell

8-29-06: Dell has made an allocation request for bulk shipment of 142 batteries to MMS based upon their record of shipments to UNT. No delivery time is promised.

8-21-06:  Dell submits a project request for a bulk shipment of 191 batteries to MMS based upon their records of impacted units. No delivery time is promised. 

8-17-06:  Dell now thinks it may be next week before plans can be finalized for large customers. The Dell estimate for impacted machines is now higher than initially reported.   

8-16-06: Dell expects to have a replacement plan for UNT later this week for any Dell notebook computers purchased through MMS and affected by the battery recall. At this time Dell estimates UNT has 144 impacted units. MMS shipped 384 units during the time in question. Please check back on this website for updated information.
